Phytogram Recipe:
- One liter water
- Four tablespoons washing soda
- Two tablespoons vitamin C
- High contrast 7266
Phytograms are the result of a chemical process between plant material and photosensitive emulsion. As plants are soaked in the recipe, they release phenols, which in turn create a developing agent. With Propagate 1, phytograms are used to construct a document authored by the landscape itself. It is a camera-less process, made only with the listed recipe and plant material taken from the environment.
